About your teacher

Mary-Rita

For many years I balanced being a mother, wife, and lawyer, but it wasn’t until age 49, after surviving breast cancer, that I turned to yoga to help manage my stress. At a studio close to home, I not only found poses to keep my shoulders and torso limber, but yoga also gave me the tools for healing off the mat. I was lucky to have traditional Hatha yoga teachers and I grew to love the philosophy of yoga. It led me to a meditation practice and spiritual growth I would never have predicted.

My positive yoga experience is something I want to share with others. So I completed my yoga teacher certification in 2018 and have been fortunate to have wonderful students who join me in the challenge of enjoying life on and off the mat.
